Replacement Boxes

Hello,
I have a growing collection of PostWar Lionel cars with no boxes. Where can I get replacement boxes sized to fit O/027 scale cars. They do not have to be copies of Lionel boxes.
Thanks,

Good question… i have no idea…

Hi,

You should try-
http://www.eastcoasttrainparts.com

I’ve bought a bunch of his boxes over the years and they are very good.
He’s got a nice selection of original and repro parts also.

Hope this helps.

Rich

This is exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks

How about a source for non-Lionel boxes? I’m thinking mostly of the semi-scale size that fits, Auburn, KMT, Frank’s Roundhouse, Williams and some MTH cars. These are a pretty tight squeeze for Lionel cartons. New Williams boxes are rather bulky. Any ideas?

Thanks.

For my boxless trains I use boxes that auto brake pads come in. I am an auto mechanic and I find that theese boxes fit a good amount of sizes. Ask your local auto shop is they could save them for you. The price (free) just can’t be beat.
