I have some Weaver O-scale cars with very lightweight plastic trucks. I would like to replace them with heavier die-cast trucks. Should I use the metal trucks that Weaver makes or can anyone recommmend an alternative (Lionel, K-line).
Are trucks generally interchangeable?

I like atlas and weaver truck. Lionel is too much high and don’t look pretty good.
but, if you use lower truck may be in 027 track make troubles.

I routinely change out the weaver plastic trucks with weavers sprung metal trucks. I think I get the bettendorf type. It’s been a while since I changed any. My weaver cars perform much better with the sprung metal trucks.
