I am new at model railroading and the coupler on my Bachmann HO Union Pacific Engine broke and I have no idea how to remove the old so that I can put in a new.

We are going to need a little more info to help you out. What engine is it and the aproximate age? What type of coupler does/did it have on it? Is the coupler truck mounted or body mounted? What type of coupler do you want to put on it?
