Reply Screen Does Not Show Entire Original Post

Got a question. When I want to reply to a post the entire original post does not show up on the screen. The right edges of the post do not appear. However, if I quote the post all the words show up in the new message. I see no way to make the original post fit the screen, and there is no slider bar along the bottom to move the screen to the left. I use whatever the latest version of Internet Explorer is.

Anyone know how to get around this?

Thanks

Don’t know what the fix is… I do know it is also happening using Firefox, so it is not a browser specific problem. Most likely one of the bugs Kalmbach hasn’t gotten around to fix yet.

Looks like Teligent missed applying the proper size parameters to the part that displays the message you are replying to, causing it to not wrap at the frame limit.

Bet if you put in a post with plenty of returns, instead of allowing the

editor to word wrap for you, it works just fine. Except then you end up

with extra spacing.

Edit: yup, when I replied, my first sentence went off the right edge, but everythign else was fine.

If you’re using a laptop or desktop, resize your browser. Use + to increase or - to reduce the size (those are the plus and minus keys, if you can’t read it).

Tried this on my desktop and it does not work. It does enlarge or decrease the size of everything visible on the screen, but it does not make non-visible text visible.

In the case of your post, when I went to reply I can see (above the blue “Quote” button) “use to increase or to reduce” and “can’t read it)”. The part that says “to reduce the size (those are the plus and minus keys,” disappears to the right of the screen where the green welcome back and blue news, tips boxes are.

When I quote the post everything does appear in the description box.

Makes absolutely no difference, they have the widths fixed with a CSS. I have dual 1920x1080 monitors and if I spread my browser across both of them, all I end up with is a HUGE tan area on the left and right. I normally have my browser at about 3/4 the width of one screen which exceeds 1280x1024, more than anyone ought to be building web sites for, even these days. It’s I’m sure a Teligent issue, not Kalmbach, but this forum software has almsot everythign fixed in size and I’m pretty sure I’m on the right track syaign they missed a CSS attribute for the reply part.

Hi, Jeanne from Kalmbach here. Our developers just pushed out a fix for this. Please let us know if this problem persists. Thanks!

Looks like it is fixed to me.

Hello, Jeanne. I tried it and it now works correctly. Thank you very much.
