reporting marks on coal hoppers

Is there someplace I can get a list of the owners of the coal hoppers by reporting marks? Thanks

…I hunted down reporting marks on here just a few days ago. I went to Google and it took a bunch of trial and error’s but I finally found a complete list.

The one that Samuel suggested:

is an all-time site–it will give you prior owners as well as the current owners of a given reporting mark. Definitely a good one for historical purposes.

However, being a fan-generated site, it’s updated when the owner has time, and could get a little behind. If you think your reporting mark is new (too new for the preceding site), try finding it at:

http://www.railinc.com/docs/UMLER_MailList.xls

That’s one long list, accurate and up to date as of the date on top. One problem–it will occasionally give you the name of the fleet manager instead of the assignee of the reporting mark. Check both to be sure!
