I’ve been repeatly seeing cars of all types with SRY reporting marks. What is SRY a regional or something? Anyway, I’ve searched it in Google and multiple railroads came up. came up. If you know, please respond.
Southern Railway of British Columbia, a half sister road to MRL. It operates the former British Columbia Hydro Railway, an Interurban in British columbia near the US border.
So Thats what I was I was hearing. I kept seeing semi-abandoned track, and hearing Horns. Never saw anything though. I almost thought it was a… GHOST TRAIN!![:O][alien]
The way this forum is set up, it means almost nothing. If the forum’s statistics were fully functioning, it would indicate how the person stacked up against everyone else. If there were 100 people who had more posts than you did, your rank would be 101. The person with the most posts (Mookie) would have a rank of 1 (and no one else would).
I wonder if that rank is based on all those who are on the forum at a given time? If there were only 2 people online right now (on all the forums combined), you would be either #1 or #2.
so does that mean that mookie has been here the longest, or has she just posted more threads than other users? I’ve done 113 threads (at the time that I posted this) and my post rank is Zero, but I know that some weird guy named…Poop[xx(]… has only posted 1. So shouldn’t my post rank be at least 2?and about the picture… Is the GMD1 on Vancouver Island in CN colors or colors similer to MRL?
Yes, and there may be more cases like mine: I had several hundred posts under the old system last year, but for some reason they didn’t grandfather in and my post count began at one. Am I complaining? NO. [:)]
Being online or offline has no effect on post rank. The way the forum works right now, after you get several hundred posts, you get a post rank of 128. After several hundred more, you get a post rank of 64. Then 32. Then 16, 8, 4, 2, and finally 1. My estimate is that there are at least a dozen people with a post rank of 1.
How long you have been a forum member has no bearing on the post rank. It is simply a matter of how many posts that one has made. And remember, a lower post rank indicates more posts. With 113 posts, you probably would have a post rank of about 2,476 if the forum statistics were working properly. Murphy Siding would probably be somewhere around 4 or 5.
EDIT: And yes, the number of posts is across all forums combined.
Those GMD 1s have the MRL logo and say something raillink. What does the red lettering above the raillink say? Also, I’ve seen some barges with what lookslike the MRL logo on them. I think they say Seaspan or something. Does MRL’s parent co. own seaspan. Once again I’m drifting [#offtopic]

It says SRY RailLink. BTW, none of the GMD-1’s are on the island. GP9’s 110 and 119 are handling the freight duties there. Washington Corp is the parent company and yes they do own Seaspan. Seaspan provides coastal barge service and the rail barge connection between Vancouver(Tilbury) and Nanaimo(Wellcox).
