Best wishes for a speedy recovery for your wife. Take care of her and don’t forget to take care of yourself. If you get worn out and grumpy you won’t be much help to her. Please don’t take offense, I am just passing on some advise a very good Docter gave me just about 17 years ago.
I can certainly sympathise with your OL, OM. [;)]
I have had both hips replaced due to severe arthrosis and I’m only 35. The first hip was done in 1997 (at age 27) and the other was done 2 years ago. While I still feel stiff at times, and damp weather does cause a few aches, I am no longer suffering any pain. Flexibility is not 100%; but more than enough in order to live a normal life.
Tell your OL that the more light exercise she gets (walking, stairs, etc), the better. But hold off on the running, jogging, skiing, football, hockey, and parachuting for at least a little while. It is amazing what modern medicine can do today. Not that long ago, we would have been condemned to suffer in pain, practically immobile.
Best wishes to you both.
you see, this like a family!!!
post what you like here!!!
and if you dont feel that has been justification enough,
getting your wife to start in the hobby will definitely justify this thread
Best of Luck for you and your wife
Best of luck to the OL, I hope and pray for her speedy recovery.
BTW, thanks for the Java Script post I found it very interesting.
Thanks,
Ryan
The OL came home today (tuesday) and is resting comfortably, no need for the possible second surgery, she took a quick look at the thread here and wanted to say hi to all you wonderful folks. So from the OL a big :“HI!”
For myself I wanted to take the time to thank all of you, I am new here and still know very few of you but you made this rough time better for me and I consider that a part of friendship. So here’s a lifted stein to all of you you are great folks.
Here is an added bonus LOL
The OL wanted to show off the marvels of modern engineering so here she is with the new knee and brace.

Good thoughts probably won’t do much to tell the truth, but I will pray for you and your wife.
The Bible says that when a man and a woman are joined, the two become one. This is a great joy, but it can also be painful when one of you are hurting.
I will talk (pray) to the Great Physician (God) about a speedy recovery for both of you.
