I have two jars of Modelflex of a certain color, and when I went to open one, it was fine, but the other was thick mud! I probably was careless in closing the lid, but it seems worth saving. Question is: HOW? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Cedarwoodron
It can be frustrating. I’ve known for years that it’s important to wipe off the top of the jar and the inside of the lid before closing it yet I’ve been guilty, at times, of not doing so when I was in a rush.
Since it’s thickened and not totally dried out, add a small amount of distilled water into the jar and stir the mix vigorously (this is where a paddle on a Dremel Rotary tool comes in handy). Chances are that at least a small amount of the paint will be reconstituted and may be useful.
