Here is a message I sent to Kadee yesterday and the response - very interesting. . .
I have used Kadee couplers for many years and am very pleased with the
performance and realiability. I would like to see the “whisker” concept on
more of your couplers. Too be honest, the copper centering spring can be a
pain and in some instances, won’t fit properly. I recently had this problem
on an Athearn Genesis box car - the centering spring for a #58 would not fit
properly into the draft box.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions, we do appreciate them.
We are planning a complete series of the “whisker” coupler including scale head long and short versions.
These do take time to make the tooling and we have quite a number of other projects we are working on so presently these are “as time allows”
projects.
