I have the very sad duty today to attend the funeral of a close friend Jeff Heiden. Jeff was an engineer here in Boone on the east Iowa Clinton sub. Jeff was hurt when his motorcycle flipped and he broke hus neck. He hung in there for five days but developed complications and the plug was pulled after it decided to harvest his organs. I have known Jeff for the 101/2 years I have worked in Boone,A greater friend there never was, Rest In Peace brother . I wish you an open road and clear skies when you ride in heaven, Larry [sigh]
Sad, but at the same time I’m breathing a sigh of relief- based on the thread title, I thought you were referring to Jeff Hergert!

I have to agree 110% with Larry. When I was a conductor I always looked forward to working with Jeff. It’s hard to believe he his gone.
