Yesterday afternoon I was travelling along the BNSF Staples Sub when I spotted a headlight. After a short wait I shot a train lead by four BNSF SD39-2’s (reclassified from SD40-2) and a GP38-2. What a surprise to see 5 classic EMD units on a manifest train after an endless parade of GEVO’s and Dash 9’s over the last year.
