Hi, I am finally returning to modelling after about a five or six year break. I have been working on a OO gauge layout set in 1930’s Somerset England based on my favourite railway The London Midland & Scottish Rly, but progress is very slow as I have to nearly import everything and the cost due exchange rates and shipping make it hard at times so I decided to return to what I did back home in the UK and model US N scale.
I have been looking for ideas for the last 2 months and think Ive narrowed it down to 2 ideas both former MR projects. The first is an old project which appeared in MR back in the early 80’s, The Washita & Fe but set in the early to mid 80’s. The second idea Ive been throwing around is a combination of The Winter Hill and Bay Junction set somewhere in the last 2 or 3 years.
I have no stock or track yet nor a control system but I have dreams. Ive been slowly buy lumber over the last few weeks with an aim to get something running by the New Year. I still have my LMSR to work on though.
