Reverse loop using E-Z track

Does anyone know how to make a reverse loop using Bachmann’s E-Z track? I’ve tried contacting thier customer service but nobody has gotten back to me.[?]

Try “Ask the Bachman” http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/index.html

I found I had to cut track down for a lot of diffrent designs to work on my layout. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn’t use EZ track.

Are you talking about making the loop physically, or about wiring it? Wiring EZ track should be the same as wiring any other reverse loop. You need to insulate the loop at both ends, and then provide a separate direction toggle switch for the loop.

It should be easy to make the loop with the track, but treat it like you would a regular reverse loop. Andy Sperandeos book Easy Model Railroad Wiring has a great section on reverse loops.

THe trick with EZtrak is finding some insulated rail joiners to substitute for the metal ones. You may find some Atlas ones that will fit the rail, but cut away a bit of the plastic to get them to fit. Kato makes plastic rail joiners for their Unitrak system.
