RFD not showing as many train specials...

Is it just me, or has RFD slowed way down on showing train related programs?. Two years ago it seems like there was all kinds of train shows on there… [:(]

That Rich Inehorn(sp?) show isn’t being produced anymore. There was another Lionel type show that they yanked. The only 2 I see now are Trains and Locomotives and I Love Toy Trains. I still like some of their old machinery and tractor shows.

Now if you want to watch an 8 hour parade of auction cattle, That’s your channel!!

…RFD? Rear Flank Downdraft? A high theta-e RFD is suspected as a precursor for tornadogenesis.

The other weather guys here will get that…

how long has rfd tv been around ? it’s possible that as they develope more shows that some of their older running programs would have to be scaled back. here in ny rfd tv is not available unless you have dish net or direct tv. cablevision, our local cable provider is mostly commercials with occasional programs jammed into the empty spaces. i have dish net at my other place and enjoy rfd tv when i get to go there.

I saw a really good show on RFD about a month ago on a Saturday morning. It featured scenes of CSX locomotives pulling loads over the mountains in Pennsylvania. It’s hard to catch some of their good programming unless I buy a Sunday newspaper for the TV programming guide which I rarely buy or be a hardcore channel surfer…It has to be a really good show to hold my attention (about as long as it takes me to reach the remote and flip to another channel,) a mere 2 seconds is about all I can stand if it doesn’t catch my interest right away. Of course when I saw the trains, I stayed there and the program was an hour long…chuck

RFD-TV publishes a monthly magazine with their schedule. A couple of years ago they published an item to the effect that they were looking for more railroad-oriented shows to broadcast, but there are not many companies making such videos. They can’t broadcast it if it isn’t available.

They put a weekly schedule on their website.

Someone commented that they catch I Love Toy Trains but the only thing I can find anymore is Trains and Locomotives; unless it is preempted for a televised auction - as it is this week - I can catch it four times a week: Monday afternoon; late Monday night; Tuesday morning; and Saturday morning.

RFD is inaugurating a new network on 1 November designated RFDHD; they are promising new programming for this new network; maybe things will pick up then and, since they will then have two networks running, we can get some more train shows back.

RFD-HD just means High Definition. The programs will more than likely be exactly the same ones that are being broadcast on their regular channel.

The HD channel should give a place for the auctions and equine shows to go, so RFD can put on more trains and tractors.[:D] I have DirecTV, and live out in the country a bit. I look out the front door, train tracks. The back door, a farm.

Come on!!! Next you will be trying to tell me that TV just means Television!!! Get real!!!

A lot of sun down there on the border???

I Love Toy Trains isn’t listed anymore.[V] But the Big Joe Polka Show is still going strong![:D]

Doesn’t TV mean something completely different in San Fransisco??[:-^]
