If there is one thing I have learned (and there are many more) that I can take away from all the modeling videos, its that no matter how good the end results look, there were imperfections along the way. Its taught me to try more things that I may not have in the past, and you all have done a great job and showing us how to deal with things when they might not be “perfect”. Thank you all for the great work!!
Super fun to watch the construction. You guys have become the “This Old House” of model railroading.
I think everyone at model railroad video really enjoys there job. I enjoy every new video and look forward to upcoming new ones. Everyone does a great job and makes model railroading really fun. Thanks
Whether or not this particular project is one you’re building, it is just nice to see high production values: good camera work, multiple angles, mixed perspectives, and matched cutting used for “how to” videos. You also have to appreciate the time compression when steps are repetitive. By comparison it makes some of those endless demos on YouTube a bit painful to watch even if they offer useful content. Good job.
Extremely helpful hints, which actually add to those already in the MR magazine spread. The only question I had with respect to the decking David, did you give any consideration to using sheets of Evergreen drop siding to simulate actual wooden decking? I am considering doing this project for my S scale layout and am leaning towards the siding sheets to simulate wood decking (I’m also looking at using wooden sheets possibly from Northeastern Scale Lumber if available). Thanks Much!
I’ve enjoyed MR the magazine for decades, but really love MR Video Plus. I’ve learned a lot and my layout is starting to show it. Looking forward to building a similar fold up car float across the doorway where the track currently just stops. I’ve also learned a lot from viewer comments and am going to check out the Evergreen siding for my float. I watch and rewatch every new video, beats watching TV any day.
