Rice Harbor Series: Model a harbor part 4 - adding wave effects
Looks great I only hope mine will come out this good, that is if I can find a car ferry ship…
Very nice work. At thend of one day Cody expressed some doubts about the appearance of the “intermediate waves” but then the next day nothing was said - he just went into the highlighting. I’m guessing the material dried in a better pattern than expected, but if you make a comment like that it would be nice to hear the follow-up.
Very well done! Vallejo makes water effects in clear, Mediterranean Blue, Pacific Blue, and Atlantic Blue so no real need to use a colored resin. They also make a product called Foam and Snow that could make the waves without having to paint them white.
Great job on the waves Cody, looks like my memories of the rock jetties along the NJ coast. That section of the wave that breaks onto the shore is called “wave runout” and is correctly portrayed by the white paint you used there. Thanks.
Looks great! However I would still like to know if you guys are planning a video for operations, as you have done on other MR layouts? I would really like to see how you run the layout. I have some ideas but want to know how you’re doing it!
I second Adam’s suggestion of a operating session on the Rice Harbor layout.
