I am looking to find a photograph by the great Richard Steinheimer that was in a Trains magazine, I believe in the 1990s in the winter photo section.
The picture was at Omaha Union Station, showing a Union Pacific passenger train at night (when the City trains departed), a passenger with a cigar looking at his watch with a porter trackside.
This picture captured the wintry cold of that night. There is a painting of this photograph which is very good, but I want to find that photograph. Does anyone know what issue of Trains I could find this in (I’ve looked through all my back issues to no avail), or where such a picture might be available as a print or in a book?
Thanks to anyone who can offer any leads…best wishes to all train lovers!
