I was born in Chicago but grew up a Colts fan after seening Johnny U. and Alan Ameche win the 1958 championship game. I’ve finally forgiven them for moving out of Baltimore and am a big fan of Peyton Manning. I like both teams and both coaches but I’ll be pulling for Balti…er…Indianap…er…THE COLTS. I won’t be too upset if Da Bears win though.
Model Railroaders are a creative bunch and this thread is just SUPER.
Sorry, I was unaware of the schedule and did not board the train as it passed through Kentucky. Therefore, I’ll stay home and TACKLE some work on the layout.
Is it true they added another car, Silver Refrigerator, to honor William Perry of the last Bears Super Bowel team? That should hold additional refreshements enroute. Perhaps it carries champaign for after game celebrations.
Sorry, I’m a Browns fan. I’ll pass this year. (and probably most of the rest[sigh]) They replayed S.B. III last night with Johnny U. on the NFL channel. That was interesting to watch. I was only 4 back in 1968. I wonder who the refs will let win this year.[:-^]
I’m kinda rooting for Indy only cause I think Payton has paid his dues, and put his team in to position to get to the big dance the last few years. I’d really hate to see him be the next Dan Marino or Jim Kelly. Other than that I really just want to see an entertaining high scoring game !
I’d say that was one of the best officiated games I have seen in a long time. Even the replay worked the way it is supposed to. I can’t think of a single play that wasn’t ultimately called correctly whether by the call on the field or the replay. Not a single contrversial play the whole game.
totally agree. one of the best Superbowls i have ever watched! so much action. unfortunetly i was rooting for the bears. but i sure loved that touchdown return on the opening kick-off. man that was gold! well good job to the colts!
Colts definately were the better team with the much better and more experienced QB, through the Bears had an outside chance just as they pulled off against the Saints. Great season anyways and a good game for the most part. The “Silver Rex” will be sent to the RIP track. In consolidation I’m very happy its Peyton getting over the hump instead of Brady again. Hopefully the CB&Q will rise again next season despite being derailed in Indy. One day divirsion and now back to MRRing.
