Ride the In-ko-pah Railroad!

Ok, it’s 1/24th scale so you can’t actually ride it yourself. But here’s the next best thing! It’s a video shot from onboard a flat car near the end of a freight train, as it makes a complete trip over the layout. . . . . . . . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mq6ue5K7nSU . . . . . . . . . . . This is not your average “train in a garden” – it’s more of a large scale, model railroad that happens to be outdoors. The theme is a narrow gauge line serving mines and small towns in rugged, rocky desert terrain (similar to the famous Carrizo Gorge area of San Diego County). There are many tunnels, bridges and trestles. . . . … . . Everything is scratch-built except the trains (and I plan to do some scratch-building in that department eventually.) Like most layouts, it’s a work in progress. I have some buildings and mines in place, but there are many more to come. . . . . . . . . Check my YouTube channel – I have a few other videos of my layout plus some video of the Nevada Northern Railway Museum’s 2-8-0 #93 in action. . . . . Enjoy!
