I found a big ride on train called the Pioneer Express. Has rubber wheels, metal handle on top to turn the 2 front wheels, its black with red/gold label on both sides that has the train name. stamped on back with MAR in a circle with an X through it, says made in usa above circle and toys or toy below circle. does anyone have any idea of value or where i could find out its age and value? i rescued it from trash.
I don’t know a thing about your item, but I may know somewhere you can call and discuss the item with them. In Wheeling, WV there is a toy museum, Kruger Street Station. They have this type of toy on display

HI Karen,
Welcome to the CTT forum
The “MAR” over the “X” is the Marx trademark.
Hi Karen,
[#welcome]
Go to E-Bay and type in “Marx ride on train”. I found three there today. Running about $40-45 with several days to go.

Roy
Thank You all sooo much, I dont know much about trains other than my grandmother had my uncles Lionels from when he was a kid ( Very Old), ha ha.I Couldn’t believe someone threw this out. It’s in great shape I have a pic but dont know how to put it on here. When I first saw it by the side of the road I thought they were throwing out some kind of weird looking mailbox, I asked my daughter to get out and pick it up, and I still wasn’t sure what it was until I got home and my neighbor said Oh my God I used to have one of those when I was a kid in the '40’s. I was shocked. THX ALL.[;)]
