I am designing the extension to my layout using Right Track Freeware v10.0 and need some help!!! One of the locations requires a grade, but I can’t figure out how to create a track with a grade. [banghead] Yes, I did read the manual too, but I was even more confused after that. If anyone has or knows how to use this software well–PLEASE HELP!!!
Thank You!!![bow]

I am using RT8.0 so i am not 100% sure if this will work but if you put down some tracks, then go to tools and scroll down to Height, you can set the height of various sections of track. There you can also set the gradient as well as not have it all the same level. uncheck the bottom box and you will be able to use a grade from point to point. don’t forget your easements as well.
BTW, love your nod to the Peter Principle, i have found it so so true.

Sorry, I can’t help you with the software, but the management comment is classic![(-D]

Creating a grade in RightTrack is not easy. First of all, you have to ensure that the part of the track you need to have a grade, is detached from your other track work. You can then assign a height to the starting point and to the ending point. Be sure to tick mark the little box “calculate gradient” . It works, but is really cumbersome.
