in studying rr rule books, I have found Rights of Trains very useful. My edition is the fifth edition printed in 1957. My question is: Are there any other books on the market covering the explanations of various operating rules of various railroads, and is my 1957 issue the latest one put out by Simmons-Boardman ???
The one I bought a couple years ago was the 5th edition also.
Reading actual rule books from different eras and railroads is very interesting.

And in his younger years Peter Josserand was an operator and dispatcher for SP and MP. He ended up as a Chief Dispatcher on WP. I just recently reread his “Night Chief” from Railroad Magazine. He also wrote railroad fiction that appeared in Railroad Magazine.
