I’m going to give up on trying to hide batteries and such in a box car, and flashing led’s that don’t look like a FRED. Thinking of getting a couple of Ring Engineering’s devices. Any body have these? Just looking for your comments on if they are worth the $35.

I have 3 of them - They are easy to install and are super reliable. No batteries, and they flash for 3-5 seconds after I cut the track power.

I bought one sometime ago. Works fine. You can also buy a matching truck for the other end of the car if the present trucks are different style.

They are worth it. The FRED’s look great and I have never had a problem with any of them.

I have one. It works exactly as advertised. I am probably going to buy a couple more.

Thanks guys, I’m sold. I’ll end up buying 2, 36" and 33" wheels.
