Is there any site(s) that track where the Red and Blue trains are? My train club has been trying to see one for a long time and we always seem to miss it. Seems we always are a day or more a few minutes late to see one (the train) when we hear it is in the area. I was just wondering if any web site(s) exist to show where it will be at any given time.
You need a friend in the transportation businss that has access to the railroads track & trace tools. And couple of sample car numbers or maybe a train number to trace.
The Ringling website tells you where the shows will be. The Gold Shows travel by truck. The Blue Show is currently in Wilkes-Barre, PA . When they are finished there they will travel via the NS to Chicago. Try the Circus Train yahoogroup for more information

I am guessing that Canadian Pacific will take the train from Wilkes-Barre to Northumberland, PA, at Northumberland CP will hand the train over to NS. After that there are two options

NS takes the train to Harrisburg, then re-routed onto the Pittsburgh Line to Pittsburgh and the Fort Wayne Line to Chicago

NS takes the train to Lock Haven, from there take the train over the Nitanny Bald Eagle railroad’s route to Tyrone and then onto the Pittsburgh Line and eventually the Fort Wayne Line.
Believe it or not option 2 has been down in the past for whatever reason.

The Blue units last show at Wilkes-Barre, PA is at 1:00pm EDT today. The train will then be moved by CP to Harrisburg north of the Rockville Bridge and interchanged to NS there. Then it will move via Horseshoe Curve, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Toledo, and Elkhart, to Chicago. The train will then be handed back to CP, the coaches will go to Galewood Yard, while CP will take the Animal Cars and the Equipment Flats and interchange them to the UP, who will take them to Des Plaines, the Animals will be unload near Howard and Wolf Road and then Paraded to the Rosemount Arena.
