Rivarossi 4-8-8-4 UP-4005

Hi, I just purchase and old rivarossi BigBoy, there is no power transfer from the track to the motor, if I apply power directly to the motor terminal in the back of the cab, then the engine run.
Is there anyone that can supply as jpg or otherwise, a copy of the instruction sheet that could help me teardown the engine, showing me how is the power pickup and from which truck, how the wiring goes inside the engine, etc etc.
information can be send to solaris_100@hotmail.com
Thank to anyone that will foward this information

There have been at least four, and probably more, entirely different versions of chassis/drivetrain/electrical under the Rivarossi model.

If you have one of the versions with the spring plunger pickups that ride against the backside of the wheeles, a possibility is that they are burned out. The best solution is to replace them with strips of phosphor bronze that contact all of the drivers.

Pick-up shoe(s) is what they are calling. But other side of loco is also very important to thinking about! Not only plus, but also minus!

It does help to locate the pickup wheels and where the wiring goes but has the first statement say:
“Initially, the most challenging thing about the conversion is figuring out how to get the locomotive apart. See the parts diagram that came with your locomotive on how this is done”
so what I need now is the part diagram, and how do I find the version of the uinit I own, since there has been 4 versions since first production.
So if anyone could dig out those Part Diagram, just let me know.
