Rivarossi 5-pole motors

Can anyone tell me which item# (or manufacturers#) represent the newer Rivarossi small flange - motor-in-the-boiler locos that have a 5-pole motor? I know the Allegheny has a 5-pole motor. Are these motors the same?

Carmine: I don’t know exactly, but check out the Northwest Shortline–www.nwsl.com-- they make replacement motors for a great many locomotives—they might have a 5-pole for the Rivarossi motors. Their motors are excellent–I’ve replaced a great many of my older brass open-frame motors with NWSL, and they’re very smooth. There’s a good possibility that you can find what you’re looking for.
