I have a pair of Rivarossi emd-e8a’s, one of them is in need of a brush replacement. My motr is # p-125-031. I have new brushes, but do not know how to replace them. Does anyone have a repair manual for this, or can just tell me how to do it? As always, thanks in advance, radar.
Rivarossi brushes are easy to replace. To get the old ones out, take a small screwdriver and lift the springs out of the brush holes, and position them to the sides to keep them from going back in. Then turn the motor upside down and tap it on a table or other surface to make the old brushes drop out (one of them may need a little help from the edge of a razor). Then drop the new brushes in and reposition the springs.
