Riverossi Loco

A number of years ago I purchased a Riverossi 4-6-2 engine. Milwaukee Road. My autistic grandson got a hold of it and broke it to pieces. Anyone know where I can get a replacement?

Unfortunately, they haven’t made this one for a long time now.[:(] Your best bet is to find one on eBay, or possibly a train show.

How badly is it broken? Is repairing it at all a possibility?

At this point in time, eBay may be your only hope of finding a replacement. Rivarossi (note the spelling) went bankrupt several years ago and has subsequently been purchased by Hornby of England. Rivarossi products are now made in China and I doubt that any of the new parts would fit the older models.

Hi Harry and welcome to the forum! [#welcome]

As mentioned, ebay may be a good route to take. Currently there are a number of older Rivarossi steamers up for bids. No Milwaukee units but continue checking daily. Here are a couple of 4-6-2’s up for bid but in other road names:

This is really the key question.

What exactly is broken?

Fixing it, if possible, may be the more practical solution than trying to find an exact replacement.

I would look on ebay. Those were plasic shells and easily damaged from impact. You can always save the drive parts for spares.
