Rix Products---good guys

I recently started adding some Rix 628-0013 switch stand to my turnouts. They look good, and add a bit of animation to the turnouts.

Anyway, the targets on the turnouts are very well made, and delicate. I managed to destroy one while cleaning track. Emailed them and asked if I could purchase a few spare targets due to my clumsiness.

Three days later there was a package at the door; two complete switch stand kits, and a catalogue. No charge.

When people do good things, I like to pass it on!

Rix and Pikestuff are basically hooked up like WS and DPM. A couple of years ago I ordered the highway guard rails directly from Rix/Pikestuff and they sent an extra pack for free with a note on it saying “thank you for your business”. I was very impressed and still am. Great People!!!

Now if they would only put their switch machines back into production.

Second the motion!

I thought I had some issues with some RIX machines I had installed. Turned out the issue was a power supply that delivered inadequate voltage. Once I installed one that delivered an honest twelve volts the performance improved by a factor of three.

Now if I can just get the sixteen I have on backorder…

It’s nice to hear that there are still really decent people out there, but as the Princess said, “why do you have to kiss so many frogs to find a Prince”?

Rick R. is a good guy to deal with. I have always had good results with his 2 lines and if something is wrong with on of his products. He will bend over backwards to get it fixed and done right. Kevin

Rick is also a great guy in person. We really enjoyed his hospitality when he would host a group guys from Memphis who would travel to his home in Indiana for a night of operations on his L & N layout. Peter Smith, Memphis
