I was looking at these tonight and they look pretty good in the photos. Anybody got any input on these or maybe the IHC ones? I’m going to do the roads from scratch but I don’t want to mess with the sidewalks for my city scene.
Don’t know about the IHC product, but I have used the Smalltown/Rix sidewalks. They come molded in gray which may be too dark for your sidewalk needs, course that’s what they make paint for[;)]
You get 6 10’ x 40’ sections. Each strip has two rows of 5’ square partitions. One strip has a “driveway” molded into it, another has a streetside manhole cover and a couple sections have curved corners for the ends. The curb is molded in there too. Easy to use if you need to add on or it’s easy to cut if you need to shorten for your plan.
For what it’s worth, it’s the best selling sidewalk product here.
I’ve used the Rix “Smalltown USA” sidewalks, but to me they look way too big for HO scale. That’s why I used them on an O-27 Plasticville layout. They look great with this scale. But I would not recommend them for HO.
For HO, I use the resin/plaster sidewalks by Scale Structures. There are other options too, so you might want to take a look here:
