Question for the electrical geniuses in the bunch. I was installing a few Rix twin coil machines on my new modules, and for some reason, still unknown to me, I decided to read the directions (yeah, I know, BIG mistake) [:I] Now I have installed many of these before, and prefer to use them on my modules as they have held up better than N.J.'s and dont give me the clearance issues that tortise machines have. (They get knocked off when transporting the modules) But there it was, on the instructions, something wierd. It said, and I quote.
"Power source: We recommend 16-24 volt transformer, AC or DC.Do not use a train power pack "
Heck, thats all I’ve used for years is the 16 volt output of an old MRC Tech4 (that measures 17.7 volts AC) Even most el-cheapo power packs give me slightly over thier rated output.
Why would they print such a thing??
