Rix Switch Woes...

I noticed Rix switch machines were out of stock and sent them an Email about when they be back on the shelves. Got this Email…

Tom, We are out of stock of the switch machines and I’m not sure when we’re going to restock them. The sells of the machine is getting pretty small and the cost of the materials (wire and copper) is getting higher so I decided to let them run out of stock until the back orders build up. It will be at least fall before I make them again. Unless sells drop off completely then I may not bring them back at all.
Thanks

No doubt! I wish I had the $$$ to start buying them up! I need about 25. I should have bought them last Summer when I had the cash even though I wasn’t ready to install them.[banghead]

Day late, 25 switch machines short…[:(]

Out of curiosity, what is special about the Rix switch machines? Would the Atlas “deluxe” under-table machines work as well? I tried them out before I changed to Tortoise and found them to be quite reasonable. I just personally prefer Tortoises to solenoid machines.

I’ve heard from a lot of people that the Atlas Deluxe machines have a high failure rate. Have only tried their regular under table machines without contacts. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Rix machines and I found a place that sold the ones WITH contacts for $7. (guess not anymore.[:(]) Half the price of the tortys.
