RMT BEEP & Lionel B uint Sound problems ?

I recently bought an RMT Beep loco with an aftermarket “Digital Horn & Bell”. I noticed that the bell will turn on if I cycle it on and off with the whistle switch on a 50’s ZW transformer, but the horn will not work. Then I powered the Beep with a new Lionel transformer from the “Pennsylvania Flyer” train set and the horn works fine but the bell won’t work. Anyone know why? Or, how can I get both to work?

I also have a 1980’s Lionel (GM Fundimensions) era NYC B unit with horn that only works with the new Lionel transformer from the Penna Flyer set. It won’t work at all with the older ZW. Wassup with that?

Try reversing the leads from the transformer to the track. See if horns blow but bell ring doesn’t. Then to make the bell ring, get a sound activation device and install it as instructions indicate for bell [not horn].
