I just purchased some Deluxe Innovations RoadRailers and I was wondering, on the front you use a Bogie, I have it, but on the rear, would there be a FRED or what, if there is trailing cars, it appears you would use another Bogie, yet as I have studied these configurations, it appears that they are almost alway used at the end of Trains or Consists.

Any ideas??

Amtrak used to put these at the end of their trains. They would use another bogie with a platform on the end. They also had FREDs.

Norfolk Southern does not use a rear “bogie” or platform. The last trailer simply rides on it’s truck like the rest do, and the FRED rides on the end of the trailer. Sorry, don’t have a pic.
