Is the Rochelle Webcam down for some reason? I haven’t checked it in a day or so, but got a black screen today.
Nope, it’s functioning as expected. Have you changed any of your 'puter’s settings? New browser or firewall, for instance?
I just instqlled Norton Security 2004. It does have a fire wall. I can’t get the Rochelle cam. What need to be changed on my settings?? I don’t have any problems with other cams tho. Many thanks in advance. Tim
This problem relates to how your firewall is handling (blocking) referrer information.
When you click on a web link, your browser transmits referrer info (the web address of your current page) to the server of the new page. Our webcam server requires this information, but many personal firewall systems block it. Luckily, firewalls can be configured to allow referrer info to be passed to certain specific servers. Check the documentation that came with your firewall to learn how to create a “rule” which would allow your browser to pass referrer info to our server. Our server’s address is traincam.rochelle.net.
the Web cam worked for me this afternoon and tonight, I also have Norton. It never has been a problem viewing any web cams.
