…Do I see something different at Rochelle web cam…Seems the clock is counting down in single digits now. Didn’t it count in 2’s or more before. Does that mean the web cam repeats faster also…?
I asked the same question in an E-Mail two days ago. No answer yet.
…Sorry, didn’t note it had been posted earlier.
I didn’t post it on the Forum. I sent an E-Mail. Posting this on the Forum may get an answer.
watching the frames change today with it being windy ,
it apears to be changing every second.
just my observation, will wait for others
…Yes, finally…After watching for some time before seeing a train pass, the web cam appears to be putting up a new frame in one second time units. I believe that is almost double the speed it has worked since I’ve been watching it.
Every now and then it stumbles and the time lapse is 2 to 3 seconds. But in general, it seems to be set now to do it in one second repeats.
Hmm, I might start watching it again! =D
Yes,
Our friends at Rochelle Municipal Utilities gave us a little more bandwidth (as they had on a couple previous occasions), so a few weeks ago we quietly increased the frame rate so that the display nominally updates once per second. Your actual results may vary due to many factors.
Incidentally, I’m usually the guy who answers reader queries about the webcam, and I never received one from you, larsend. Where did you send it?
I used the form I found by clicking on the “Contact Us” link on the Trains.com line at the bottom of the page.
