Am i the only one that cant get the cam at rochelle.tried on two different computers.same thing.
Nope. Me neither. Two computers, same thing…nothing!
Let me add that everything was working fine last night and that I didn’t change any settings or anything in my computers.
Hey, it is 5:00pm in Appleton, and I was just on the web cam. Hopefully you are able to get on now.
Jared
I just tried it. I got a picture for about 10 seconds before it froze. I refreshed and did not get the picture back, in fact it froze my computer. I had to Control-Alt-Delete to get out.
Working fine for me at 6:18 p.m. CST
Hey Jim, turn your clocks ahead!
Java issued an update to its software this weekend and that may be part of your problem if you haven’t upgraded.
Check to make sure you’re updated to Java SE Version 6 Update 5. Available free at:
Yep…did it. In fact, I checked for an update as soon as I noticed the problem around noon today and downloaded it immediately to both my desktop and laptop computers. I even went the extra step of removing the previous V. 6 U. 3 -AND- restarted windows, but still couldn’t get it until a couple of hours ago.
I was trying to show a friend of mine how I’ve been monitoring traffic at the Rochelle diamonds using ATCS Monitor/BNSF Aurora sub dispatcher display which shows the signals, switch alignments, block occupancies and locations of detectors as I listen to RailroadRadio.net>Central Zone Streams>BNSF Northern Illinois Area online radio scanner for advanced notice of trains approaching Rochelle along with the webcam. It’s really cool knowing who’s coming and how big the train is going to be before it even gets there. All from 1,154 miles away (as the crow flies).
Seems to be working normally for me
…One of the good signs I see at Rochelle is almost all of the snow has melted.
i could never getting working tried everything it works at my grandparents house but not mine
