Is it just my computer, or does the Rochelle webcam seem to be on the fritz again – picture is dark and is purple tinged, sort of like the early tubed color tvs looked when they were about to die.

It’s not your computer, and there’s nothing wrong with the webcam. The camera’s auto-exposure is flummoxed by all the snow on the ground. On sunny days there’s actually a yicky green cast to the image. Be thankful it’s been overcast for the past several months [:)]
It’ll look better after the snow melts, which should be sometime before July.
Had the same thing happen to my digital camera when I took a picture of a field of cotton - ready for harvest. The electronics don’t know what to do with all that white. Anyone for purple polar bears?
