Rochelle Webcam won't display

Why won’t my java come alive on the Rochelle cam? Williscam and Ft Madison
works.

? The status bar says “applet started” and the data seems to refresh
periodically but the view is blank. I don’t see “applet starting” in it.

Ft Madison and Williscam work and in them I see “applet started, using Java 1.1”.

Is the problem “me” or “them”?

I just re-loaded Windows 98 on my system after a crash so I have had to rebuild everything. Rochelle worked fine in the past.

I am using W98 Rev B and IE 5.5 w/ service pack 2.

Larry, It may just be the popularity of the site. I never had a problem getting it to display until about a year ago. NOw it has become a hit or miss deal where the live cam comes in or it just sits there with a blank image. If I go from live cam to recent images and try to go back to the live cam I’ll get a blank image most of the time.

You may be right but not until this week, when I re-installed W98 did I start to have a problem.

On the other hand, it did make a lia of me a couple of hrs ago and took me there almost immediately. Yet, now when I try it, it seems to hang.

Thanks for the comments. I’ll keep trying.

Good luck! If you figure it out let me know. Nothing on my system changed and the problem occured rather suddenly. I’m at a total loss to explain it and the only suggestion Trains could come up with was to hit the refresh icon. (It doesn’t work). I"ll go A WEEK OR TWO WITH NO PROBLEMS AND THEN IT WILL HANG LIKE CRAZY. Have finally decided to live with it. Am also, like you, running windows 98.

I just checked out Rochelle to see what my machine would do. Cought a WB BNSF stack rolling thru the diamond, so mine must be OK.
I have gotten hung up at Ft. Madison tho.

Go BEARS!!!

Couldn’t get it to come in last night or tonight off Trains.com web page. Had to settle for recent images. Did get web cam to come in off the Kalmbach direct link tonight. Go figure. Thanks for wishing the Bears luck. Unfortunately, they got sidetracked and couldn’t find the endzone.
