I typed in a search of the Rock Island, and got a present Rick Island site with fotos of new deisels, etc. a sitting president and board of directors. Didn’t the Rock go out entirely, after liquidation???

If you found what I think you did you need to click the disclaimer which says the site is fiction. It is a what if scenario. Interesting isn’t it? In reality I believe appliance manufacturer Maytag owns the rights to the Rock Island names and logos. I don’t know what arrangement if any they have with Iowa and Interstate whose engines frequently appear with similar logos.
