How is the best way to paint a e-unit with the large
yellow wings around the nose?
Does somebody have a template for this?
I painted an E unit and F unit in this scheme when I ran a paint shop and made the mask out of drafting tape using a template I drew up. I don’t think it’s true for this scheme, but some decal sets have the pattern as part of the decal set in which case I usually photocopied them and used that as a pattern to cut a mask so it could be painted on instead of decaled. If you have a good drawing program (NOT paint program) and access to a vinyl cutter, I’d recommend that as the way to go.
