Rocky Mountain Express

We saw the Rocky Mountain Express movie this weekend. Aside from stunning photography of gorgeous scenery with an immaculate steam locomotive that’s been lovingly restored, it’s just plain wonderful. And, as an added bonus which is not often the case in movies that deal with railroads, they got their facts straight.

DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!

Whatever you have to do to go see this movie, do it.

And soon as it’s over you’ll want to see it again.

It’s that good.

Had not heard or seen anything about it before this post - thanks !

Apparently it’s an IMAX movie, 40 mins. long, released Sept. 30, 2011, about a train trip with steam loco 2816 through the Canadian Rockies, and the epic building of Canada’s 1st transcontinental railroad, etc. See this link for some more details:

Now I’ve got to find a ‘local’ IMAX theater that’s showing it . . . .
