Anyone know why Rod Stewart is on the front page of Trains.com? I’m almost wondering if it is a hacker thing? Or is he a railfan of some kind? Just curious.

Should have looked a little further. I was so sure it was a hacker in my mind I wanted to skip right past it. My bad.
I have seen Rod in concert a couple of times never thought i would see him in MR. If i am not wrong i think Neil Young is a big Lionel fan and has a set up.
What’s really interesting about Rod is that he takes kits and tools with him and builds models in his hotel suite while on tour. Unlike other celebrities who hire the whole thing out.

Neil Young actually owned Lionel for awhile. Now it is bankrupt. Not sure of the timing of his ownership and bankruptcy tho.
Neil has had several references to railroads in his songs, probably the best is a song called Southern Pacific from about 1981…excellent song.

I remember a story on the radio.they say for a birthday rod had to choose between a guitar and a station for his layout.
