Hello everyone!. I am building a layout based on CSX railroad in Florida, Plant City area. There are some nice industries along the main line in this area. I like feed mills and dairy farms. Can you tell me some advice about how operate it?. What rolling stock is needed?.

Probably covered hoppers and tank cars. Maybe some modern boxcar types for supplying the industries. You could do a switching layout to serve the industries that go off from the mainline.

Use Bing maps and look over the area you are interesting in using “bird eye view”.

Here’s what I found in less then 5 minutes centerbeams,boxcars,covered hoppers,reefers…I also found several large industries.

I have found Bing maps to be a priceless research tool.
