What is a good way to make a slate roof?
I would go with thin sheets of styrene which should be easy to shape. If you were really ambitious, you could cut individual shingles but from a practical standpoint, it probably makes more sense to cut strips to represent each row of shingles. A hobby knife could score the strips to make them look like individual shingles. Then just attach them the way they would be done in the real world, starting with the bottom row and overlapping each row as you work your way to the top.

I just finished a Campbell model that had a roll of nice cedar shingles as part of the kit. They were self stick. I wonder if such are availible from Campbell?
