Roundhouse steamer parts

I just received new HO scale tender frames and trucks from Athearn/Roundhouse. The 4-4-0, 2-6-0, 2-8-0 are identical tenders. The frames are all metal ready for a one inch speaker. The trucks are all set with blackened wheels and pickups for both sides of the truck. Short wires are attached to the pickups.
I have three older MDC steamers that I want to convert to sound. The older tender shells fit just fine.

The old frames would need some machine work to fit in a SoundTraxx Micro-Tsunami decoder and one inch speaker.I do not know what else they have for parts, but it is all new stock, no old stock.

Trucks

Frame. Left new. Right old.

Once again. All new Roundhouse stock. No old MDC stock left.

Rich,

How did you go about ordering these separate parts? Did you contact Athearn by phone or thorough the Roundhouse web site? Also do you plan to post a tutorial on making the upgrades with the new parts?

I contacted Athearn Roundhouse for parts availability and price through this site.

I then called in the order with a credit card number. I used exact part numbers. I have the parts diagrams. I suspect with the part numbers, they were able tor respond more quickly. Quite a few months ago, the parts were not available. I have two 2-6-0 locos decorated for the Wild West show that I would like sound in. I have a old time 2-8-0 bashed into a 0-8-0 Winans Camel that can use sound. The motors are low current open frame with skewed armature. Very nice runners.

Tender floor 2416-06-06 $4.98 each.

Trucks 2428-PR03 $5.98 per pair

Shipping $5.50
