Roundhouse track setup diagram

Am modelling Walthers HO 3-stall roundhouse (#933-3041) and the 90’ turntable (#933-3171). Unfortunately have lost (don’t ask!) any details and diagram as to the distances from centre of pit to edge of roundhouse. In otherwords need to align roundhouse tracks with turntable track so all line up straight. Believe there was a diagram or calculation or specified measurement. Could anyone give me help or scan and submit a diagram of aligning tracks. Stalls in roundhouse are based on 10 degree angles.
Thanks very much.

You acually have the key number you need to lay this out yourself. 10 degrees. A protractor and a couple of straight edges, and you’re in business. Lay it out on paper, or directly on the layout.

The placement of the roundhouse is based on the doors, and how wide those walls are. Once you have the lines drawn, it is simply a matter of finding the distance from the pit where the track centers line up with the openings. Even if you don’t have the roundhouse assembled, you can measure the parts to find the placement.

Easy solution here. Place the round house on a flat surface that you can draw pencil lines on. Now use a straight edge and lay it against the outside wall and draw a line from the corner out past where you think the center of the pit should be. Do the same on the other end of the building. where the two lines intersect should be the center of the turntable pit. Next, measure from the intersection point to the corner of the building on each of those lines. Determine where the center of the pit will be on your layout and place your roundhouse the same distance on your layout. Have I made any sense here? Ken

Sorry, one step I forgot here. When you draw those lines from the building end, you have to measure from that line to the center of the first door from the building end and then draw a parallel line from the center of the door. Where those lines intersect will be the center of the pit. Sorry for the confusion, Ken

Thanks very much fellows. Followed the advice and found the sweet spot for locating the roundhouse relative to the turntable. It’s great having fellow modellers give a helping hand.
Take care all.
