On Friday I rode up to San Luis Obispo on a turn-around round trip…northbound on #799, and southbound on #798, which uses the same consist.
The trip north was on time - good for a 5-1/4 hour journey. The trip south had several delays, the first being stuck brakes, and then a series of meets with northbound passenger trains. arrival in LA was at 8.18pm, almost 40 minutes late. I saw no freights on the main the entire time.
