Rowland hopes to get Greenbrier Express back on track this spring

I thought the recent article about Buckingham Branch said it had taken over dispatching of this line.

It is difficult to imagine there is not sufficient capacity for an additional train. Sixty years ago there were four passenger trains daily in each direction, four or so freights daily in each direction and extras.

Good luck. I won’t say anything bad about the man. Just talk to the people who have invested.

The line controlled by Buckingham Branch does not extend to Washington, DC or to the Greenbrier Hotel. The BB is like a huge side track to the James River line, used to alleviate congestion.

This begs the question of affordability - is it solely for the brahmins who patronize the Greenbrier, or will we commoners stand a chance of saving up and riding, too?
