I knew it was comming up pretty soon, was going to try to find out when, now I know. Thanks, I’ll be there. Last year I got a REALLY great deal on some out of production Classic Model Works autos.
One thing to add: There is a test track for N thru G scale. There is a food court on site.
We’ll be there. Looking forward to it.
Simon, if you see any real affordable covered hoppers like theses would you pick up 3 to 5?

What I would really love to get is some SOO line hoppers with the wheat stalk on the side. Pretty sure you have seen the 3 of them that I have all ready. Next pick you be C&O and or B&O. After that my only requirements would be that they are light gray.
OH, if you happen to see a Bachmann EM 1 in the $50.00 to $100.00 range grab it for me! [:-^]
Ken
Really don’t want Tyco or the Cheap Bachmann. But, if you can get them for around $1.00 to $2.00, I know how to make them track well as you know! [swg]
I more than likely have the worlds largest collection of Tyco Old Dutch Hoppers!

That is not all of them either! [:-^]
I’ll be looking for Bev-Bel blue box, CMW & Athern vehicals & some #6 And #8 turnouts. Any CB&Q MKT & Mopac cars I do not have.
On another forum that I frequent, all the guys that were going to a show wore a name badge with their username on it. This way everyone that had been ‘talking’ to ea. other(n so cases for years) could meet. It was alot of fun. In case anyone cares, I’ll be the one with the blue and red STL Cardinals hat on.
I am going to bring my new Con-Cor CB&Q Twin Headlight Zephyr to run on the club layout… I will have my UTLX tank car black & yellow hat on.
Back from the swap meet. The Con-Cor Zephyr ran just fine. It drew alot of attention from viewers. I did not do much shopping as I spent most of my time at the club layout but did snag 10 blue-box kits that were selling 2 for $5. & a custom built warren truss bridge that was for TT scale for $15 that I will use for a country one lane bridge over a stream. The weather was way to nice so there was an early crowd. With the MR mags now on disc many dealers were trying to “dump” inventory. But as in all shows some people still try to get retail. Guess what? those tables did not empty out! Next show is in Sept. Tkat
Had a great time at the show. IMO it is far and away the best meet of its type in our area. Tomkat, missed you at the Boeing layout, but did not miss the PZ. It looked really good. Was running very smoothly around the layout. Looks like Con-Cor did a decent job of adding the extra lights to the model compared to my original run version.
Ken, only found one place with the Wheat Stalk. They wanted $10 each, with Kadees and metal wheels. I passed on them. There were lots of other hoppers for sale on various booths, but nothing seemed to fit your criteria. My best deal at the show was a set of 5 Bowser coal hopper kits, brand new, for $2 each and a set of 3 Proto2000 box cars built up, with Kadees and metal wheels for $3 each. Christopher got a 3 big boxes of N scale stuff for $10. Listed at $20 but the guy said immediately that since is was a kid buying it he would take half. He thought is was great that a kid had an interest. There are tons of parts and I suspect he will end up with 2 dozen freight cars and a couple of locos out of this. Plus enough spares to last him a lifetime!
Anyway, great show. Thanks to the Boeing club for putting it on.
Dang, I should have gave you a set dollar amount to spend and not a prices per car. My budget was around $30.00, all well my mistake.
Thanks for trying Simon.
Ken
